Programmes - Why does The Pathfinder Programme work?

Bookmark and Share
First and foremost, the Pathfinder Programme is a personal voyage of discovery for each individual participant. It is a process that starts when you as a leader begin to think about your leadership in a more existential and personal way. Maybe it is the prospect of a particular challenge that inspires these thoughts or a desire to see something that already works well, work even better.

Management and Leadership
The Pathfinder Programme reveals that many leaders with lengthy education in business schools, universities and international MBA programmes are excellently equipped when it comes to management. But they recognise that they do not know enough about leadership. Leadership is the core of the Pathfinder Programme and an understanding of personal leadership instigates an excellent and natural process of development, initially in the individual leader.

A new space
The Pathfinder Programme is an experimental learning space, where all theories and dogmas about what is right or wrong are set aside, whether it is those that deal with leadership or those that deal with being a human being. You have to forget all rules for a while if you want to start thinking in a new way. The Pathfinder Programme gives leaders a new space in which to be, a space that is peppered with inspiration from all sorts of sources, practices, reflection and dialogue and which creates resonance in the individual along the way.

Making your leadership personal
Each and every participant discovers something new in himself or herself, something authentic that they do not want to let go of. Pathfinders call this “the encounter with the Pathfinder within”, the one you do not seek, but find. In most cases this recognition underlines that all transformation can only start in one place: inside yourself. That does not necessarily mean that you have to strive for something, but rather that you advance something else that you already have inside you.

For every participant the challenge is to integrate the inner Pathfinder into his or her leadership. When that happens, they achieve an incredible strength, which affects simply everything they do: their work, their relationships and their life in general. Pathfinders call this phenomenon “The Pathfinder Effect”.
