POW: Your discipline training is just to be there
– conscious and aware
Most people have experienced coming home from a course or lecture inspired and excited by the will to change… only a few days later to fall back into old habits.

At this POW meeting, Lothar Friis will be talking about permanent change as one of our greatest challenges. We all possess a ‘download system’ from which we continuously retrieve stored knowledge and which serves us well in many different contexts. But when it comes to change, the system can act as a barrier because we are not able to ‘dismantle’ this download system.
But we can work on acknowledging and prioritising change and what it means to hold on to new awareness and to carry through the development that change enables. We will look at the resistance to change that we all have and reflect on the source of strength that is required to maintain the process – a source of strength that we can only find within ourselves.
Lothar draws on his experience as host and expedition leader for a group of teenage girls in the jungles of Borneo in the TV2 series Ingen Kære Mor (No Mercy).
