The misfit who found his place in the world. Alfred Josefsen is the man behind the success of the Irma retail chain. He is also a Pathfinder. In a very frank interview in JyllandsPosten on 10 May 2009 he tells his story of the little boy from West Jutland who went on to become one of Denmark’s most successful top managers.
Alfred Josefsen talks about his management experiences and says that: “When it comes to management, hierarchies, structures and all that nonsense aren’t of interest at all. The most important thing is to create a framework and conditions that will allow the individual to perform to his or her full potential”.
